You are 47 and are nearing menopause.the symptoms you express are perimenopausal symptoms.a female is said to have achieved menopause if she doesn't have her menses for 1 year.
With you around you menopause i would suggest you to use a contraceptive whenever getting sexually involved because till menopause is achieved you never know when you might be ovulting and can get pregnant.it is better to be safe than sorry.
As your mammograms give you a normal report i suggest you to take evion 400 or megla or primosa 1000 one tablet dailyfor 3 months.this wil help you with the pains.you can add on a calcium supplement too

OBGYN Dr. Dr. Rakhi Tayal's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The heaviness and the sore breasts that you have noticed can be related to the normal hormonal changes in your body. It is not always associated with pregnancy. Please do not worry as it is likely to subside soon.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
