Hello
Thanks for your query.

I will try my best to provide you with best possible professional recommendations to your questions.

Gestational sac is detectable by 5 week and yolk sac appears by 5.5 to 6 weeks.
Fetal poles by 5.5 to 6 weeks and fetal heart beat is detectable by ultrasound by 6.5 to 7 weeks.

It can be unnerving to go in for an early pregnancy ultrasound and be told there's no fetal pole. Obviously it would be far more reassuring to see a baby developing right on schedule for what was expected, and ideally with a strong fetal heartbeat.

As you have not mentioned the date of ultrasound, i assume you had done on or around 27.2.12.
I advice you to repeat the ultrasound after week and then you can decide.

Even after the second ultrasound, if there is no heart beat then miscarriage is one possibility, the other possibility is that your pregnancy is simply not far enough along to see a fetal pole on an ultrasound. The fetal pole becomes visible in a transvaginal ultrasound somewhere between 5 to 6 weeks of gestational age, but any small error in dating the pregnancy can throw that off because the early pregnancy development varies so much from one day to the next.

If you incorrectly remembered your last menstrual period date, that can change the expected findings on an ultrasound or if you have an irregular cycle and do not ovulate two weeks after the start of your last menstrual period, your pregnancy may not technically be five or six weeks along even if it has been five or six weeks since your last menstrual period.

In any case kindly consult OBG specialist with the Ultrasound report.

Yet again, I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Regards
