Irritation In Vagina. History Of Having Intercourse, Exercising. Detected Diabetes. Safe To Take Azithromycin?

Hi, I have a question... I'm having some irritation down in my vagina more on the outer part but by where the part you have intercourse at...
I just start back working out last week and before that I was watching what I eat, but when I graduated May, 17 I started to get off my diet and was eating all types of sweets and what not.... Also, my period is getting ready to start so that didn't help with all the cravings as well.... But I haven't started my cycle yet.... I started back working out at the gym and I started back having intercourse (but I used condoms) and all this irritation started after all of this (last week) My question is what do you think it could be? Oh, I'm a diabetic as well...! I have a medication I had that I never took that is called Azithromycin 250 is that ok, to take?? Previously I had a yeast due to an antibiotic that I was taking and I was prescribe a cream to use for comfort so that's what I been using for comfort, I'm just trying to see what I can do if I don't have to go to urgent care.

Hello,
Your history suggests that you may be suffering from recurrence of yeast infection.Recurrent vaginal yeast infections are very common in females who are taking repeated anti biotics, are overweight or are suffering from uncontrolled diabetes.
You must consult your doctor and get blood sugar fasting and PP done to know the exact status of blood sugar levels and also get a vaginal swab done to arrive at the cause of vaginal itching as this itching can also be due to bacterial vaginitis or Trichomoniasis also.
Once the cause is identified, then proper antibiotic or anti fungal treatment along with control of blood sugar levels would make you all right.
For future keep low calorie diet along with regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day along with regular anti diabetic medications.
Thanks
