Is Amitriptyline Advisable For Esophageal Hypersensitivity?

I was diagnosed and treated for GERD in the past 12 years. The sympyom has been up and down. I Was tested on PH and motility and finally was fiagnosed as the esiphageal hypersensitive. My doctor wanted me to take amitryptiline but with minimal dise of 10 mg still makes me feel dizzy and sleepy all day. What should I do? (My body weight is 120 lbs. )

I really appreciate your concern, Amitriptyline mainly given for depression and anxiety, drowsiness is the side effect of this drug and any medicine given for anxiety and depression can cause the dizzy feel, you can stop this drug if you can come out of the anxiety on your won, or try to change the time of taking of medicine hope this information helps
