Is Amoxicillin Safe When Diagnosed With Allergy To Neomycin?

I have a sensitivity to BAC and neomycin - my son also has reacted to neomycin -he was just prescribed amox-850mg bid and ciprobex- for otitis media/ external -is there a similar otic rx Without BAC? ( as tobradex / vigamox in the ophthalmic world)?

Hi,

Ciprodex is in the same drug family as the antibiotic in Tobradex and Vigamox. If the later are safe with him, he should be able to use the Ciprodex. You should speak to his doctor about your concerns.
