Is Aricept Safe To Be Taken For Memory Loss In An Elderly?
I am a 66 year old woman. I started loosing my memory in 1994 when my daughter was was killed in a auto wreck just before her 18th. birthday. I noticed forgetfulness. It just kept getting worse. Now its so bad I can't seem to remember anything. Sometimes I forget to take my meds. I forget people, I've forgotten people, how to cook, drive, appointments, just about everything. A nurse told me about Aricept. That it might help me. Please help me. Aretta
Aricept contains Donepezil which is used to treatment of memory loss. Donepezil is a cognition-enhancing medication and slows the progression of memory loss associated with dementia. Other modalities of treatment including occupational therapy and assisted living should also be looked into.
