Is Cepodem Xp 325 Mg The Right Medicine For Fever , Body Pain And Headache?

Hello doctor, I have been prescribed with this Cepodem XP 325 from a doctor for slight fever, body ache and headache though I feel it s not necessary to take this medicine. Because they re were prescribed to me without being checked by the doctor. We just mentioned our symptom and this was prescribed. Should I take it?

It is an antibiotic. Cannot say in your particular case. Sometimes aches are due to just aches or due to viral infection in which case antibiotics are not going to do much/anything. Sometimes it is due to sinusitis in which case this is one of the ideal medications to take. If there is obvious bacterial involvement (malodorous and/or discolored secretions in the nose, back of throat or being coughed up) then an antibiotic is pretty clearly indicated and this is generally one of the top choices.
