Is Diclofenac Tablet The Right Medicine To Reduce Back Pain?

i have been taking diclofenac for approximately 1 1/2 months to ease back pain. it helps immensely, but I m worried about taking it for too long. I ve had some gas this week, which increases throughout the day until it s very uncomfortable. I am sometimes able to pass. today, the symptoms aren t gas, but a somewhat bloated and very painful abdomen. upper abdomen. I have been taking otc cold meds this week. my diet has not changed. I eat oatmeal for breakfast with raisins, 2-3 servings of fruit and 6 oz of yogurt for lunch.pretzels and a granola bar for snacks. coffee twice w cream and sugar and dinner usually consists of not fatty meat and salad. i am in the process of evaluation for the back pain; when i skip the diclofenac the back pain comes back immediately.

Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Diclofenac is amongst safe ones for back pain. You are doing good otherwise. Stomach upset is no doubt a side effect of diclofenac but you have got this discomfort due to cold medications.

It will all be fine after a week or so of Omeprazole by mouth before breakfast. Start Omeprazole for the same.

Your diet is good. Curb coffee to one small cup daily. Other diet plan is good. It is also nice to hear that you are following-up for back pain.

Hope I answered all of your questions. In future, if you need further, detailed and quick assistance on any health issue, feel free to ask me a question by writing my name as a reference in the start of your question. I will get back to you right away. Have a wonderful time ahead.

Regards!
