hi there ,i was suffering from social phobia and i almost beat it , and now depression is my big enemy so , i think this is the reason behind the bad concentration and losing attention , i lose attention very often while i am in the class , driving , studying , reading! after some research i decided to take "dogmatil" now i am using it for 3 days , but i don't know if i am doing the right thing or not! and i don't know how much time needed to take its effect any advice ?
I can understand your concern. Dogmatil is Sulpiride and the drug is used as antidepressant agent by a number of doctors. The drug belongs to antipsychotic drugs and is safe to use. The symptoms you are having like lack of attention span, poor concentration, social phobia etc can occur due to depression. For these persisting depression symptoms I'd advise you to visit a psychiatrist for help.
Sulpiride can help to reduce the symptoms but the drug has not much effects in social anxiety. Other medicines like Beta blockers as Propranolol etc can help in reducing the social anxiety. Please visit a psychiatrist for evaluation and prescription of these drugs.
Thanks, Hope this helps you.
Take care
