Is Flagyl 33mg Correct Treatment For Ameobiasis?

My son 10 yr old suffering from ameobiasis now for one and a half month.He was first treated for colitis and were given steroids.Now tappered off.He is also taking Pantaasa 200mg every day.Now for five days he is taking Flagyl 33mg every day.Is it correct treatment?

flagyl is metronidazole, but the dosage is not 33mg it is 400 mg. it is used to kill the intestinal amoeba. flagyl has to be continued for another 5 days
the other drug i think you are mentioning about pantoprazole it is used in the treatment of gastritis.
