Is HIV Possible Due To Possible Exposure By A Razor Cut?

As a Police Officer I was nicked with a dry razor of a suspect who indicated he was HIV positive. The wound did not bleed and I do not recall there being any visible blood on the razor. I didn't even know I was cut until I washed my hands with alcohol. I tested negative after a little over a month, anxiety and stress have been at an all time high needing some reassurance to help lower my stress. Thank you for you time

Hello
Read this very carefully and at least two times and you will get assurance , answer and will get rid off anxiety.
There is a small , but definite , risk of HIV transmission to personnel who works with HIV containing material ( as in your case it was razor by HIV infected person) , particularly with sharp objects are used.
Large multi-institutional studies have indicated that the risk of HIV transmission following SKIN PUNCTURE ( in your case there was not a skin puncture) from as harp object that was contaminated with blood from a person with documented ( your person was not documented proven HIV infected , although ,he was claiming ) HIV infection is LESS THAN 0.3 % and a mucous membrane exposure it is 0.09 % .
Transmission of HIV through intact skin has not been documented.
You mentioned that you got a test and it is NEGATIVE , so there is not a single cause of concern .
If you would have been infected certain symptoms may have been appeared .
In my opinion be sure that you didn't got any infection and enjoy life without any ANXIETY & STRESS.
Good luck.
