Is Lantus Or NovoMix Insulin Advisable To Treat Diabetes?
Three days back, in a health checking camp my sugar level was found 560.so next day I have done a through diabetick check up where fasting sugar is 360,pp. 514,hba1c 16.5,ldl 167,trigliseride 238,hdl 36,remaining data are normal.immediately I consulted two doctor one doctor prescribed novomix insulin and other doctor prescribed lanctus which one should I start? I am confused today I have to start any one of them.

Hello,
Your blood sugar levels are too high. I recommend using Novomix insulin 2 times daily. Lanctus can't control post prandial sugars so Novomix is the preferred one to control high sugars. Once your sugars get controlled you can use Lanctus. But for now you need to use Novomix insulin.
