While planning pregnancy for patients on anti-seizure medication, it is advisable to keep the medicines at the lowest possible dose. Levroxa is a relatively safer drug. I suggest you to discuss with your neurologist to prescribe the lowest effective dose possible. Most mothers will have normal healthy babies and the risk of congenital malformation is low. Hence, you needn't worry.
But you must discuss with your neurologist for dose adjustment. You should take 5mg folic acid tablet prior to conception (at least for 1 month before becoming pregnant) and to be continued till the end of first trimester. Never stop or change the drug abruptly as it can trigger seizure. Prenatal screening(triple or quadruple test) and a detailed anomaly scan has to be done at the right time to ensure healthy pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
