Is Midodrine Tablet The Right Medicine For High Blood Sugar?

I recently discovered I have diabetes..my blood sugar was 369. I am now on medication and my blood sugar runs 170 to 220. Tonight it is 295. I am closely monitoring my diet and taking meds. Not sure what had brought all of this on. My meds are making me sick. My doctor lowered my medofrin to 1/2 tablet twice a day instead of 1 x 2 a day.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Blood sugar of 369mg/dl is quite high. Also the other values you have mentioned like 170mg/dl, 220mg/dl and 295mg/dl are also quite high.
Midodrine drug what you have mentioned is not the right medication to treat high blood sugar. This medication is used patients who have symptoms of low blood pressure when standing (orthostatic hypotension).
Since your blood glucose levels is not controlled well, Kindly get your HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin) levels tested and consult Diabetologist to get evaluated properly so that you would get proper treatment.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
