Is Naproxen 500MG Tablets Twice A Day The Appropriate Medicine For Bakers Cyst And Would Cold Ice Pack Help?
Hello, I visited a clinic today because was experiencing pain in my left leg that was making difficult to put pressure on my foot and the pain was most severe in my left calf when standing or walking, also pain running down to my heal. The on call doctor examined my leg and discovered what he called a "bakers cyst" behind my left knee. He put me on Naproxen 500MG tablets twice a day. Just checking to see if this is the right thing for me to be taking. Should I also apply a cold ice pack to the area ?
Naproxen is a pain killer and it has no direct action on backer cyst. Backer cyst is fluid collection due to meniscus tear. I would recommend you to get MRI of knee joint and check if there is any intraarticular pathology. If there is any problem, it can be treated and then your Backer cyst improved by its own. So no need to be worried about this thing.
