Is Naturogest Intake In Pregnancy Safe?
Hi Doctor, My wife aged 33 years old is now carrying (1month). This is her 3rd. The first one we lost in 6th month due to cervical incompetence; it was a male. The second one is girl (now aged 3 years) we got in the beginning of 8th month due to liquid lose. She have a weak body 150cm height and 50kg wieght. My doubt is Whether any same problems will occur? Does she need any rest from the beginning? Any problem in taking Naturogest 100mg medicine now? What is the purpose of taking naturogest 100mg?

I am so sorry sir about your previous two pregnancies. I want to give you advice that I hope will help you and your wife have a successful pregnancy.
The medication you are receiving is a form of the hormone progesterone, which is used to reduce the risk of premature delivery in women who have delivered early before. Women who have had two premature deliveries have almost a 40 percent risk of having one again.
In the United States, it is recommended that wine with your wife's history be treated with progesterone, beginning at 16 weeks of pregnancy until term. The medicine, however, is given weekly by injection. In addition, she should be having regular ultrasounds to check early for premature dilation, and she may need a procedure called a cerclage where they actually sew her cervix closed until the baby is full term or labor begins.
I would recommend, if possible, that you get medical care for the pregnancy by a high-risk specialist, or perinatogist. The pills you are on now will not harm the baby, but are not a high enough dose to properly help prevent preterm delivery. She may need bed rest later in the pregnancy, but before at least the second trimester it is not recommended.
