Is Nexpro The Right Medicine For Loose Stools?

I had taken nexpro 40 for a month on the doctors advice. I am diabetic and 62. Now I take this nexpro when I am suffering with flatulence and loose motions. I want to know whether it is effective if I take this tablet once a week or take on a regular basis. Lalitha

Hello

Thanks for asking query on HCM. Nexpro or Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It is a tablet which is prescribed for acid suppression i.e for acidity. It is not prescibed for loose stools. Kindly revisit your doctor for your symptoms. If required if you take once a week nexpro there are no side effects unless taken for a very long time.

Thanks
Take care
