Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Pravachol Right Medication For Mild Stroke And Partial Paralysis?
My 85 year old mother had a mild stroke due to a small piece of plaque coming loose in one of her brain arteries on her right side. She has some paralysis on her left side - arm and hand and leg and a slight drooping left side of her mouth. She has never been on a cholesterol drug - if fact, not on ANY drug except low dose aspirin. Her doctor has started giving her Pravachol - is this statin necessary?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding the commencement of pravachol for your mother with a diagnosed small piece of plaque at the right side of her brain and left sided paralysis I will suggest that it is necessary due to possible fat tissue lodged in the brain
So please continue the pravachol prescription let see the outcome of the medication
Please reach on my email I want to follow it up. XXXXX
I hope this helps Regards Dr obia Chibitam
