General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Why you want to delay your period it doesn't make any sense because fertilization occurs at ovulation about 14th-day menstruation cycle so if you think you can become pregnant take an emergency pill which works for 72 hours and prevents pregnancy. Menstruation is shedding of the uterine endometrium which is not required anymore if pregnancy does not occur.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
