Is STD Cause Fluid Filled Fallopian Tube And Enlarged Uterus?

My husband unprotected sex with someone else. My gyro told me I had HPV virus (which I did not before). Years later I am told I need a total hysterectomy because I have fluid in my Fallopian tube which she said was not usual after menopause plus an enlarged uterus. Is any of this attributed to my husbands affair?

Hello

Your findings are consistent with pelvic inflammatory disease which means infection in the female genital tract. It is most commonly a sequelae of sexually transmitted diseases. HPV is Human Papilloma virus which is also a sexually transmitted viral disease common in people with multiple sex partners. It is advisable to go by the decision of your gynecologist.
