Is T3 127.8ng/dl, T4 8.7ug/dl, TSH 8.88uiU/ml Normal?

Hi,



I am 22 Year Girl and have thyroid problem as my doctor, yesterday i did self test for thyroid and the result is T3 = 127.8ng/dl, T4=8.7 ug/dl, TSH=8.88 uiU/ml.

Please suggest the current condition and what should be the next action from my end.

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Your test results suggest a Subclinical hypothyroidism, also referred to as mild thyroid failure.
Subclinical hypothyroidism is diagnosed when peripheral thyroid hormone levels are within the normal range, but thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is mildly elevated.(
Because patients with subclinical hypothyroidism sometimes have subtle hypothyroid symptoms and may have mild abnormalities of serum lipoproteins and cardiac function, patients with definite and persistent TSH elevation should be considered for thyroid treatment. Levothyroxine, in a dosage that maintains serum TSH levels within the normal range, is the prefered therapy in these patients.

My advice is to consult an endocrinologist for the right dose of Levothyroxine and the follow up.
