Is TSH Value Of 3.69 During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
Dear Sir, I want to know about TSH in pregnency. My wife is 8 weeks pregnant & her tsh level is 3.69 ( we have also done that three months before when she was not pregnant and at that time the TSH value was same. ) Kindly guide us in this regard. Does she require any medication.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the TSH level is mor e than 3.5 in first trimester of pregnancy, then thyroid hormone supplementation should be started. You should consult an OBGYN specialist so that appropriate treatment can be started. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
