Is Tagamet Advisable For Hives On The Limbs Of An Epilepsy Patient?

My daughter has been having hives. She received a shot last week besides taking allergra and benadryl. they seemed to get better. This am she awakened to the hives again on her stomach, arms and feet. I gave her the benadryl and the allergra. this helped but I called the dr again, he said to give her tagamet. One side effect of tagamet is hives. Should she take it? She already takes zegrid and genic profonix for acid reflex. she has epilespy.
