Is Taxim And Meftal Advisable For High Fever In An Infant?

sir my baby is 18 month. she is suffring from high fever last night . doctor periscribed taxim o and meftal p after use drug fever is control but today early morning (3 o,clock) again fever have 103 so what can i do. i want to know about dose of the medecine.

Hello,

You can use acetaminophen for fever with a dosage of 10 -15 mg kg dose for fever below 38.5 and over it you can use ibuprofen 10 mg /kg dose. Taxim doesn't work on fever it is an antibiotic (cephixime) used to treat bacterial infection.
