Is Trental,Exosprin And Piracetam Safe For Person Suffering From Chronic Ischaemic Changes?

DEAR SIR IN CT SCAN HEAD IT HAS BEEN FOUND CHRONIC ISCHAEMIC CHANGES WITH MILD DIFFUSE CEREBRAL ATROPHY FOR WHICH MY FATHER IS PRESENTLY TAKING FOLLOWING MEDICINES TRENTAL-400(BD), PIRACETAM-400 (BD), ECOSPRIN-150(OD), INSULIN (HM 30/70), VITAMIN A-Z (OD).

SIR ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO SEE ALL THE DETAILS & KINDLY SUGGEST ME WHETHER WE SHOULD CONTINUE THE SAME OR SHOULD GO FOR SOME OTHER OPTION.

Your father is having "mild cerebral atrophy" with some chronic ischaemic change .
Trental i.e pentoxiphyllin with ecosprine will dislodge the clot in blood vessels , while piracetam will boost the brain ( stimulate the cerebrum ). Since he is also taking ZINC a supplement , while insulin is for his diabetes( IDDM) .
In my opinion this is the best treatment based on the disease .
But you must take this treatment for prolong time for any successful treatment or result.
There are certain side effects of these drugs but not too dangerous , so take the medicine.
