Hi and thank you so much fr this query. I am so sorry to hear about this altitude illness. A afraid you would need to talk to your doctor to under the exact reasons why he prescribed this medication. It is primarily used in the treatment of high blood pressure and I have never heard of it being used to treat attitude illness.
