Is Valium Safe To Take Prior To An MRI Test?

My husband is going to our local hospital for an MRA test next Tuesday & he is extremely stressed about being in that culvert pipe I call it. He has asked his Dr. for valium to take to relax him prior to the test. I am uncomfortable with him taking any medication of that type but it s not likely that his dr will give him a full 30 days- or is it??

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

No, his doctor would only give him enough to cover the procedure, using one or two doses at most.

Hope I have answered your question.
