Hi,

Wysolone is a prednisolone which is an intermediate acting corticosteroids widely used in the treatment of Asthma. Wysolon 5mg is usually low dose of prednisolone. Considering your grand mother's age, long term use of low dose steroids can cause brittle bones (low calcium levels), hypertension, diabetes or may cause stomach ulcer. It varies from individual to individual as some individual have side effects whether others may not experience any side effect.
I would advise you to check blood sugar, blood pressure, serum vitamin D and calcium to make sure they are in normal range. She can continue the medicine if there is no significant side effect observed as asthma flare up (uncontrolled) is more dangerous then side effects.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
