Is A Kelp Supplement Along With Eltroxin Safe To Take?

Hi i am 42 and was just diagnosed with hushimoto's thyroid my thyroid is underactive. i have read so much about kelp, my doctor prescribed me with the lowest dosage of eltroxcin. if i werre to take a kelp supplement in addition with the eltroxcin will i have a heart attack or end up with high blood pressure??

Hello and thank you for asking!
First i wanted to inform you that kelp takes high iodine intake that in your case is not helpful.
In Hashimoto thyroiditis the thyroid is destroyed and can not use iodine to produce it's hormones that is why they are taken orally.
So i would recommend to continue the treatment with levothyroxine and would define kelp as ineffective in your case.
