I have a bladder sling surgery 11 years ago. I saw the adds on tv about a law suit, so I went to see my dr to have him make sure its ok. He told me is was still in place however my bladder has changed its shape. It is now longer and droops in the back area. I went to see a urologist and he comfirmed the change in shape but could not explain why. For some reason it has bothered me that both Dr s don t know why. What should I do?
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety. You must've undergone this surgery for correction of stress urine leak. If that's still effective, you don't need to bother about bladder shape. Over a period of about 10 years, that's a change seen in most cases. As long as there's no more stress leak, forget what happened to someone else. If you've any other doubts, send them to me,as a direct question. Dr.Matthew J. Mangat.
