Is A Blood Pressure Level As Low As 57/39 A Serious Concern?

How dangerous is it when an 89 year old woman blood pressure continues to run 108/56 and sometimes as low as 57/39. My mom is getting extra fluids in the hospital and does have a heart condition. I want to know how long can she substan low blood pressure like this, is her body starting to shut down?

Hello,
The 108/56 can be sustained for a long time if she is not having symptoms. However the 57/39 is way to low and it could be that if this is occurring frequently then it could mean that her body is shutting down.
I wish you both the best.
Regards
