Is A Burning Sensation In The Back Of The Throat A Side Effect Of Prednisone?

is a burning sensation in the back of the throat a side effect of prednisone 20 miligram tablets. i was perscribed this for a severe allergic reaction to flea bites. it feels like i took a shot of strong alcohol with out the drunk effects. like the alcohol burning. but it is constant.

Hi.
The prednisone itself wouldn't cause this but since it can increase gastric acid volume this may be an acid reflux problem

You can try some Maalox or Prilosec for it
