Is A Dark Bruise On The Spine Indicate Problem?

My son has a few dark red/purple bruises on his spine. I noticed he had one a while ago and just thought he bumped himself somewhere. (He is 15 months and gets into everything.) But now I notice it hasnt gone away and has another one just as dark right abouve it also on his spine. should I be worried?

Presence of dark red bruise like lesion over the spine which is persistent, possibility of hemangioma is to be considered and occult spinal dysraphism ruled out
I suggest you to consult Paediatric Surgeon for further assesement.
