Is A Podiatrist The Right Specialist For Foot Pain?
My husband is having a high level of pain in his right root, right calf, and down the outside of his leg to the foot. He foot has tingling, numbness, and is cold to touch. He has an appointment with a foot Dr tomorrow. Is this the best choice for a dr speciality for his sysmtoms?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Podiatrist is more concerned with infected foot as in diabetes. The best possible specialist for your condition is a neurologist because his symptoms are more likely of neurological like numbness and tingling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
