Is A Tender Spot Next To The Eye A Concern?

Two days ago my 82 year old mother noticed a swollen spot next to her eye. It is warm, tender and pink. Yesterday the spot moved to her eyebrow and she also has a headache that won t go away. Today the spot seems to have moved to her forehead and the headache persists. She also mentioned that the tips of her fingers feel prickly? She is complerely lucid and not the ryp of personAny idea what s going on and/or what we should do?
