Is Abdominal Pain During Urination Normal?

Ok so my girlfriend hasn t had sex in over a year and we just recently did a few days ago for the first time together, she is now saying it hurts when she sits down and when she uses the bathroom is this normal? I just want to make sure theres nothing to worry about.

Welcome to health care magic.

It could be either lower abdominal pain or vaginal pain.

The reason could be insufficient vaginal moistures or vaginal infection or spasm of the lower abdominal and pelvic muscles.

There could also possibility of cystitis which causes pain while trying to urinate in female.

She requires routine blood counts,urine routine/micro,abdominal ultrasound and thoroughly examination by urologist.

If the cause is infective then she should be given antibiotics (levofloxacin from quinolones group) with analgesics and antispasmodics.

Consult urologist for further treatment.
