Is Abdominal Pain Normal Having Experienced A Missed Miscarriage?

Hi, I had a missed miscarriage in beginning of july, I Also had a miscarriage in february and i was six weeks when i had the miscarriage. since my missed miscarriage in july I have had different weird feelings in my lower abdomen, such as needles pain like, and i feel that pain almost all the time, it is not a pain where it hurts me, but i can feel it for up to 10 seconds and it stops then comes back again. I am 24 years old and these miscarriages happened when i was 23, as of august 2014 i turned 24. My question is, what is going on inside me? should I be worried? My husband and I are taking a break from trying again, and wait couple of months before we try again, I do really want a baby of my own, but i feel like i have to wait couple of months and give myself a break before trying again, I am scared though that this will happen again.

Hi,

Abdominal pain is quite common after a miscarriage.

You can take analgesics like Mefenamic Acid for pain relief.

If symptoms are severe you can consult a gynecologist and get an ultrasound scan done to rule out any retained bits of tissue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
