Is Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia Curable In A Breast Cancer Female?
My mother is a had breast cancer 2 .5years back.now she is having ACUTE MYOBLASTIC LUKEMIA (AML) on 18th may 2010 that may be chemo induced.she undergone cytarabine chemo and will undergo a bonmarrow aspiration test recently.incurable.can she be cured or can this aml be cured with 'Imitinef Mercilet' ?she is 59yers of age.

Your mother has acute myeloid leukemia. chemotherapy or bone marrow transplantation is helpful. Imatinib is not useful in acute myeloid leukemia. It is useful in chronic myeloid leukemia. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
