Is An Anti-rabies Vaccination Required For A Dog Scratch?

A domestic small dog who was with the owner attached me and managed to get its nails into my thigh, there was some blood which I washed at the time. I went to see a doctor today after a week, but she did not seem to be too concerned. The wounds are healing fine. She gave me a TD shot, but my concern is rabies. When thi incident happened, I was at the beach rental condo and I do not have information about the dog s vaccination. Should I go ahead and get the vaccination? Dave

So rabies vaccination is require
Take full dose of anti-rabies vaccine along with the booster dose:
Dose schedule: 0,3,7,14,28 days
