Is An Head Injury Resulting In Scalp Stitches With Swelling Worrisome?

hello, i am alpana sengupta . i fell down on tuesday n hurt my head n got 16 stiches in my forehead . i got myself CT scan down . reports says brain is in normal condition n left scalp is swollen up. the place where i got stiches. is there anything to worry

Hello,

Swelling is normally seen to the scalp after such a fall and especially if that is where sutures were placed. As long as the brain it does not appear physically damaged then, you should be fine. Just rest, stay well hydrated and report any changes to your doctors.
