Is Autoimmune Disease Associated With Fatigue And GI Symptoms?
hi, I have been suffering from a medical condition for more than 2 years which my doctor attributes to a kind of autoimmune disorde. Fortunately, my blood test including esr, ana,and rf currenty does not show lupus or any other autoimmune diseases.but the symptoms i.e fatigue, GI symptoms and pain are to stay on and off. What do you think
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of suffering from a medical condition for two years which your Doctor thinks can be due to Autoimmune disorder. ESR, ANA, RF are all normal indicating no lupus or so. But the symptoms of fatigue, GI Symptoms and pain to stay and are recurrent. As per the history you have provided, we a have to find the cause with other investigations like CT scan of the abdomen, tests of stool for three day, a therapeutic trial of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotic may help. Blood tests of Widal and to rule out diseases like tuberculosis and such chronic disorders is important.
