Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a friend who has a 2 yo and a 4 yo. The tap water in their home has a strong smell of chlorine. Even though they don t drink the tap water, they use it to rinse fruits and vegetables, shower, and bathe in it. I have read articles on the internet that a 10-minute shower with this water is like drinking eight glasses of it since the chlorine is absorbed into the skin. Is this water dangerous to this family, especially the kids?
Usually, chlorinated water from the tap is safe for bathing as the supply would usually be met with the ppm criteria regulations. Nothing to worry about this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
