Is Black Stool Side Effect Of Prednisone?
Hi, I am taking prednisone 20 mg twice a day for sharp pain I had in my shoulder, Yesterday I had black stool so I only took it once I started on Saturday. I have problem in stomach and Itake prilocec otc daily also have IBS ,hig blood pressure, and hypothyiroid .So what is your opinion

Sometimes prednisolone can cause gastrointestinal bleeding. In such cases black stool may be present. To confirm that, get stool for occult blood done.
