Is Bladder Rupture Common During C Section And Will It Heal Itself?

I was in labor and pushed for a couple hours, but I ended up delivery via c-section. During the c-section, the dr said that my bladder had ruptured from the baby s head pushing on it and the hole was about 5cm. Is this common? Also, how does the bladder repair itself during the healing process? Is it just like getting stitches to close an open wound on the outside of the body?

Bladder rupture isn't a common condition.
Bladder healing is a natural process, after the rupture is closed surgically.
Yes, it's similar to surgical stitches, to close wounds outside the body.
