Is Bleeding In Nose In A 1 Year Old A Matter Of Concern?

About 7 hours ago, my son who is is one year old (turned 1 on July 5th) was walking up a concrete ramp and fell on his face. For a second he starting crying and then his nose began to bleed (he also bit his lip). I took him into the bathroom and the bleeding eventually stopped and he s been fine since then. Should I take him in for precaution? What should I be on the look out for? His mood was cranky afterwards, but he s been playing and laughing. It was scary to see all the blood plus he s only one year old! Thanks for any advice!

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question in detail and I know that you are very concerned about your child.
By what you quote it seems an alarming situation which needs examination by an ENT specialist.
Bleeding after fall from nose could have involved bony tissue of nose.
I think that you should take the child to an ent specialist so that we don't miss any unusual condition.

I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
