Is Bone Pain Throughout The Body Associated With Osteoarthritis?

Can OA symptoms be confused with other physical problems? If so, how can you differentiate between the two. I have a client that suffers from transverse myelitis as well as arthritis. Lately he has been suffering from bone pain throughout his body and I am wondering if that could be OA?

Hi,

Osteoarthritis (OA) is associated with joint pain. It is not causing bone pain. OA is reduced joint space which is causing trouble in joint movement with pain. So his bone pain is not due to OA. None pain can be due to transverse myelitis.

Another possibility for bone pain is low calcium and vitamin D3. So get done serum calcium and vitamin D3 levels and if deficiency than he will need supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
