General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Brownish discharge is usually due to the outflow of old or retained blood. It is difficult to tell from the type of discharge whether it is caused by implantation.

Kindly wait till the due date of your periods. If there is delay in getting periods, kindly take urine pregnancy test. In case it is positive, you can confirm by taking a trans-vaginal ultrasound scan.

Kindly consult Obstetrician with the report for further evaluation and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
