Is Calpol Effective For Viral Fever In Infants?

Hi My son is 22 months old is suffering from viral fever since 13th July docotr recomended me to give lemolinctus syrup thrice a day but fever still persist it increases to 102 degree in th night n during the day it up to 100degree. my question is is fine if i give him calpol 5ml in every 6hrs for fever.Regrds megha

Hi,
Lemolunctus syrup does not contain any fever medicine.
So for fever you have to give some syrup like Calpol.
You can give Calpol syrup as and when required 6-8 hourly.
Give enough water and liquid and keep him well hydrated.
