Is Cetirizine A Safe Medicine?

Hi, Please give me advice. my age is 58 years iam suffering from urticeria from last 2 years. iam B.P patient. daily iam suffering from itch if i take the medicine cetrizine it is relief other wise it is horible. whether taking of cetrizine is harmful? waiting for ur reply. Thanks

Hi,

Cetrizine is almost a safe drug. You may start from a dose of 10 mg daily and then gradually taper on it to complete weaning from drug, if possible.
