Is Child Okay After Chest Pain After Swallowing Chip Whole?

My 6 year old Son swallowed a large tortilla chip and screamed in pain because it was stuck in his throat, after a moment he finally swallowed it and then complained about minor chest pain. He's worried now that there is something wrong and wanted me to ask a doctor if there is anything he should be worried about.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Being a Pediatric Surgeon i encounter several such cases . In few of such cases the chip may get impacted in the lower oesophagus causing the pain and foreign body sensation in lower chest.
I advise the children to consume banana. It leads to disimpaction and clearing of the lesion.
Further management will depend on persistent symptoms.

Take care
